Cis women who get certain birth control implants may not get periods either. I have Nexplanon and I’ve yet to get one period since I received it. There’s also a whole mess of hormonal bullshit not caused by birth control or pregnancy that causes it

I mean periods suck yeah, but it’s inconsiderate for multiple reasons, such as the desire to have children.

Or just the simple “not being denied my gender” fact. :P Plus, post-op vaginas would NOT be able to support childbirth. ~~i could barely fit more than two fingers into one~~

plus I hear you bleed for like a week straight after surgery, so, that certainly makes up for it! Also, dilating. I am not looking forward to that.

I still can’t believe people have really asked you the period thing.

I’ve gotten it at LEAST twice in my lifetime, maybe more. “You should be glad you won’t get periods!” is equally (if not more) frustrating for similar reasons.

I think you're lovely dear. The hard part about being in a minority group is that while it is often deemed 'acceptable' for the majority to makes jokes (not many people would get mad over someone posting a "sorry I'm not gay so I'd turn you down lol") involving the minority, but in reverse you're being 'sensitive' or 'mean'. It's a mindset that minorities MUST take everything offensively if it pertains to their group. It's even moreso for you, I think, as 'basic' homosexuality is more accepted.

I think it speaks to the entitlement of the majority when they get upset every time people in minority groups speak out against them. It’s like,

“So we’re going to deny you the healthcare you need, treat you as a joke in the media, and just generally make you feel like shit!”

“Hey, you know what? Fuck you.”

“WHOA NO NEED TO TURN YOURSELF INTO THE BULLY.”

You can’t use the whole “reverse oppression” thing when you haven’t dealt with the systemic bullshit we have to deal with every day. We’re frustrated, and we have a right to be! Besides, I’ve never gone the “die cis scum” route. That never went well.

It’s like, “awww trans men, you’re so wonderful, be yourselves!” etc etc etc but when it comes to trans women it’s like “EW NO GET OUT OF MY SPACE”, and “oh, the reason I’m not attracted to you isn’t because you’re trans” and like I know this sounds super nice-guy-ish but we all know that’s bullshit.

like I feel if you’re a trans woman who is okay with using your penis for penetration sex it’s one thing, but for those of us who aren’t, welll….

It just feels really shitty to be broken down to your anatomy, ESPECIALLY when it’s shit you’re not okay with having.
