so my Black Tri-Stars Zaku has markings for all three members of the team
problem is

they spelled ALL THREE OF THEIR NAMES WRONG.
COME ON, BANDAI, I THOUGHT WE WERE PAST THIS.
Shin and Dozle’s Zakus are finally finished! Full photoshoot with better pics shall be coming soon.
another pick of dozle’s zaku because why not
So a word of warning… the press-on decals for Dozle’s Zaku and M'Quve’s Gouf are garbage. While their finish is gorgeous, the top layer of film bonded itself to the glosscoat and ripped the paint clean off. Don’t use if you’re a painter. Just get replacements from Samueldecal instead.
just so you know
I’ve done a lot of Zakus in my day
this doesn’t even count the ones I haven’t painted or the one my friend painted for me a few years ago.
Unit: MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type (Black Tri-Stars’ Custom [Gaia Unit])
Series: Mobile Suit Variations
Scale: 1/100 Scale Master GradeAfter lying in the corner of my bedroom for four years, the Tri-Stars Zaku is finally complete. It’s nice to have a 2.0 Zaku on my shelf, even if it’s the one I’m into the least. The decals are all Bandai waterslides, and I did mine up to be Gaia’s unit, because hey, might as well do the commander. It’s supposed to be black AND blue, but the two colors came out as almost the same shade. Oh well, it still looks cool.
Word of advice, though: if you’re going to do one of these, paint the plastic tubes BEFORE you put them on the kit proper. When you have one of these yourself, you’ll know what I mean…

Unit: MS-06F2 Zaku II
Scale: 1/144 scale High Grade Universal Century
Appeared in: Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front
Notes:
Zeonic Front is preeetty much one of my favorite Gundam games ever. It took Bandai way too long to put out an HGUC of the Zaku F2, so when they did, I made sure to make it into one of the games’ F2s!
This kit won “Best small scale” in the local division at Otakon 2011.
