Women are rightly afraid of men, with good reason.
But men don’t internalize women’s fear to them, they don’t really subconsciously acknowledge it. They don’t go out of their way to avoid creating harm.
Cis women also fear trans women, through transmisogyny.

Trans women, by means of our socialization, internalize the message that we are dangerous to cis women, but we often have a hard time uncoupling the transmisogyny from the other feelings that shouldn’t be ours.

We feel like a danger to others when we are the ones in danger. That is trans women’s socialization.
