I find them objectifying, annoying, unrealistic, and often times they ignore the fact that different cultures have different standards of gender (see: anime/Japanese video game characters).

I don’t think they do anything to help. You want more trans representation in the media? So do I. But stop taking existing characters as they are and just saying they’re trans for ridiculous arbitrary reasons that make no sense.
