The Hind End of Space

I GOT MY NEW DRIVER’S LICENSE IN THE MAIL

with the combination of that and my fixed debit card, I can finally go out to eat and drink with friends and not feel embarrassed to show my ID and  debit card! :D :D :D

With the exception of my car and health insurance cards, everything in my wallet says “Sophia” on it now.

It’s fucking surreal, man. I never thought I’d get to this point.

Okay, school info/ID have been changed. All that really remains are insurance stuff and paypal. sweet.

Welp, RMV unsurprisingly took forever BUT I got my name and gender marker changed on my license, aaand my name changed on all my bank information.

NOW I CAN GO OUT DRINKING WITH FRIENDS WITHOUT FEELING EMBARRASSED.

Can’t change my bank information because my driver’s license isn’t changed, can’t change my driver’s license yet because I don’t have my new social security card, and I don’t have my new social security card because that takes like 7-10 days to process.

THIS SYSTEM BLOWS.

So while I may have spent all of this morning puking my brains out, there was a silver lining:

GUESS WHOSE NAME IS OFFICIALLY CHANGED, MOTHERFUCKERS.

Let it be known that on today, January Third, 2013 that I, Sophia Claire Thomas, marched my lazy ass down to the county probate court and filed for my name change. About damn time.

My only question is… what now?

Today is the day I make PROGRESS.

Put in for a replacement social security card (there were fucking posters with George Takei about SS services EVERYWHERE) today.

PHASE TWO COMPLETE.

Also I booked an appointment for laser hair removal next Wednesday. My goal is to get rid of as much of this shit as possible before graduation.

Picked up my birth certificate from the town office where I grew up today.

Step one: complete.
