I've been reading your stuff on transfeminism and its application to transmen, and it made me wonder about fashion norms in general, particularly relating to genderqueer or non-binary folks. So, does a FAAB genderqueer person need to wear pants more often than skirts, and visa versa - MAAB genderqueer person needing to wear skirts more than pants - in order to pass and to not revel in cis privilege?
See…. genderqueer stuff is quite complicated. I think, ultimately, the whole point of being GQ is your presentation is “whatever the hell you want”. It’s weird. I tend to shy away from talking about genderqueer stuff because I view binary trans and nonbinary as two separate groups, and I don’t want to speak for or give my opinion on a group that’s completely separate from mine. I think when it comes to being GQ there’s going to be some “privilege overlap” I guess when it comes to presentation?
man I’m sorry I don’t think I’m making sense here
