Exactly. The point was to post a bunch of specific quotes from certain mecha shows that would have no meaning were it not for the genre. IT’S SO COOL is Getter Robo, IT’S SHOWTIME is Big O, LISTEN TO MY SONG is Macross 7, etc. To normal people, those lines are just ordinary phrases, but to people who have seen those shows, they mean something else.

Well yeah, but as far as Gurren Lagann quotes go it’s not one I’d use to identify with the show. That’s “WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!”.
