Sometimes I stare at a Gundam model box for like five minutes wondering how much paint I’m gonna need for certain parts before realizing, “oh yeah, I can just open this up and look at the runners, can’t I…”
hurrr

Unit: RX-178 Gundam Mark II (Titans)
Scale: 1/100 Scale Master Grade 2.0
Series: Mobile Suit Zeta GundamAh, the Titans Mark II. Who doesn’t love Titans colors? You just can’t argue with those awesome blacks and blues. This kit is the 2.0, obviously, and while it’s the weakest 2.0 from a design standpoint (being the first one and all), it’s still a solid kit. The decals were made for the original Mark II Master Grade, and pretty much everything that wasn’t a faction label or whatever wasn’t used. Those old decals are so ugly. “BEWARE OF BLAST”, “AVOID EXCESSIV USE OF CON-TROLS”, etc.
Trivia time! There were three Gundam Mark IIs. Who piloted the one I built here?

You know why I love building models so much?
Whenever I finish a whole project (painting, decals, etc), I can look at it on my shelf and feel incredibly satisfied. I can just go, “yeah, I did that”.
I guess that’s why I’ve found this hobby so much more rewarding than general toy collecting lately. There’s just so much wonderful satisfaction.
Gunpla feels, guys. Gunpla feels.
Unit: GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
Scale: 1/100 Scale Master Grade
Ah, the Blitz Gundam. I’ve always had a soft spot for it and I’m not sure why. I just love the color scheme and the weapons. It’s so… unique, I guess, which is a rarity for SEED. Most of the decals on this kit are from SamuelDecal, most matching the ones included with the kit. This was one hell of a fun project, and I can’t wait to do the other four initial SEED Gundams at some point!

Unit: AGE-1T Gundam AGE-1 Titus
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam AGE
Scale: 1/100 Scale Master Grade
Here’s my prize from Otakon! This was a pretty fun build despite some problems I had early on in construction. I still haven’t seen Gundam AGE, so I can’t make any comments on the unit itself, but I can say that this is a damn good kit I highly recommend. Check out one of the poses it can hold!![]()
Unit: ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam (Extreme Blast Mode)
Series: Gundam SEED Destiny
Scale: 1/100 Scale Master Grade (special edition)IT’S FINALLY DONE. I received my decals yesterday and threw on the ones I really liked and didn’t rip on me. After all that happened, I made a huge mistake… I accidentally grabbed my can of pearl coat instead of my can of flat coat. Oops. But hey, I went with it and the end result is pretty sexy, all things considered.
All the extra parts really enhance the overall look of the kit, like the chrome bits and especially the wings. This was a great project, and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with the results.
Somehow, I lost the helmet to my Master Grade F91 after a few years in storage. I’m really upset cuz I wanted to restore it and make it look all pretty for Otakon. Does anyone have one they don’t need? Doesn’t matter if it’s Seabook’s or Harrison’s, it’s gonna get painted anyway.
