The Space Revolutionary Army is a very thinly-veiled Zeon (just look at their mobile suits) and they won the war by dropping ALL THE COLONIES onto Earth. Jamil is basically an older, traumatized Amuro.

she’s kinda one of the best pilots in Alpha

in the EoE stage she completely obliterated a whole platoon of Gundam Mark IIs led by Buran, Jerid, Mauer, Lyla, and Kackricon in two turns.
