WE KNOW HOW THE SHOW IS GONNA END. STOP IT WITH THESE BAIT-AND-SWITCH PLOT TWISTS. IT’S OBVIOUS TO A SACK OF POTATOES HOW THIS SHOW IS GONNA END. CHRIST, WE’RE NOT THAT STUPID. KAWAMORI, ARE YOU EVEN TRYING ANYMORE?!

OKAY IDEON. THIS ONE’S BEEN AWHILE SO HERE GOES.

The premise is really cool but the characters are annoying like 90% of old Tomino mecha anime. The series has a fucking bizarre pace, you’ll get like one or two episodes of ZOMG PLOT then four/five episodes of NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENING. The last episode? FUCKING COCKTEASE. Awesome until the last 2 minutes where it’s just like, AND THEN THE IDE WAS INVOKED AND EVERYONE DIED, THE END. Just watch the movies, man, you get to see a five year-old get decapitated by gunfire, it’s fucking great.

OKAY HERE’S ANOTHER ONE: REIDEEN THE SUPERIOR.

I don’t have time to go into how much I TRULY hated this one, but if Dancouga was everything bad about 80’s mecha, this was everything bad about 90’s anime, period. Fucking fujioshi pandering all over the place. NINE TEAM MEMBERS, ALL OF THEM MALE. And if they’re all based on birds why is one a fucking BAT?! I can kinda understand dino but BAT?! THAT’S A MAMMAL. AND HOW STUPID ARE THE CHARACTERS?! Also making it a plot point that two characters look alike doesn’t work when your character designs all kinda look alike to begin with. Fuck, SEED Destiny did that better with Lacus and Meer. AND IF THIS IS A REIDEEN SERIES WHY IS REIDEEN ITSELF THE BAD GUY?! THAT’S DUMB. AT LEAST HAVE AKIRA KAMIYA PLAY HIM.
