Pacific Rim would have been better if it ended like Gunbuster. Not with such a large timeskip, maybe 5 or 10 years, but Raleigh comes up and finds himself alone. He spends a few moments looking around, confused, trying to find Mako, when suddenly a chopper goes overhead. He looks up as the chopper comes around again and lands on the water. He’s helpard aboard and he finds Mako, now the head of the division (whatever division you like, it’s not important.). She smiles at him, shakes his hand, gives him the biggest hug. “Welcome back, Raleigh.” She says with a big warm smile. ROLL CREDITS.
