today i made a comment to my cashier after some small chatty kids came through that i couldn’t wait for her kid to get old enough to learn sarcasm (the kid in question is 8 months old) and our customer said “have you seen that show, the big bang theory?”

 i warily replied, “once or twice…” and he said “the guy in that, sheldon, he doesn’t catch sarcasm because he can’t understand it.” 

i said “oh man, because he’s autistic. that’s hilarious! ha ha!” and the customer said “i know, that show’s so funny!” 

i think he didn’t catch my sarcasm
