I don’t believe in the whole “reclaiming a slur” stuff.
No self respecting trans* person should call them self or any other trans* person, a “tr*nny”.
No self respecting gay person should call them self or another gay person a “f*g”.
No, I am not anti-pride.
Just, why use a word that’s mainly used as derogatory slurs? It’s not empowering, in fact if anything it makes people outside the community think they’re okay to say, because god for bid a gay person saying something a gay person would find offensive.
As well as that it makes people outside the community take things less seriously, I mean, could you picture a campaign for “f*g rights” or “protect the tr*nnies”?
You demand the world uses respectful terms, yet call yourself a f*g? Do you realise how stupid that looks?
