I guess because there’s a lot of overlap… a lot of transpeople are also gay, right?

ehhh… honestly transpeople have as varying a range of sexualities as cis people. I don’t like trans being included there because it feeds into the misconception that gender and sexuality are the same thing.

plus trans women were kinda used as the poster child of the gay community for decades. That’s a reputation that’s hard to get rid of.

How does one even order from Mandarake

Thaaaat is complicated.

Any orders under 5000 yen incur a 500 yen surcharge, and when you’re ordering, you need to make sure they’re coming from the same storefront (ie, Nakano). After that, you add it to your cart and checkout. If they have the items in stock, you’re all set, if they don’t, that means it got sold out in-person and they didn’t update the page.

It’s convoluted, but it’s ultimately worth it.
