The whole point of tabletop gaming is the acting involved in playing a character, otherwise you could just play a video game. Also, you didn’t account for pilot skill systems.
Well, I’m still thinking of how I’d add that in. The whole point of it was to have some fun with Gunpla outside of building/painting them.

They’re treated like, maintained like, piloted like, and fight like giant robots in the anime.
Ergo, they are robots, by the Japanese definition. The Aura Battlers are giant bugs and we still call those robots. Besides, the show is in Super ROBOT Wars. That kinda counts for something.
