sorry to hear you didn't seem to like refamiliarizing yourself with wing... it's problems aside I loved rewatching it when I was old enough to follow the plot. but anyway, do you think after watching it again that it really is the prototype to 00? I never saw why people seem to think that: the shows just don't seem to have that much in common to me.
I HATE when people compare 00 to Wing. They have SOME similarities, yes (Celestial Being is kind of like the Gundam pilots group and let’s be honest, Allejandro is a less competent Treize), but they’re no more similar than any other two Gundam shows.
00 has its own assortment of problems, however, but they’re mostly concentrated in season 2.
I'll be interested to know what you think of V Gundam when you get around to watching it again. Also, do you remember who Katejina is supposed to be? As far as I can tell, she starts off as Uso's penpal/onee-chan crush and that's it.
I always figured Katejina was meant to be a case of a “close friend turned greatest enemy” sort of thing. Which she certainly was, though I kinda felt Super Robot Wars did her a bit better.
