In the concept art of Poison, the term “newhalf” appears a number of times, and “newhalf” is a Japenese term that means “A woman with male reproductive organs,” roughly translated. This was Capcom’s way of avoiding the potential controversy regarding, as Akira put it, “men beating up women.”Because, you know, trans women aren’t women.

And everyone can get behind beating up trans women.
