On demedicalization: That was basically my thought when I saw that being trans was a medical condition. Seemed bad, until I saw that prescribed treatment was gender-corrective surgery, and realized it worked for insurance purposes.
yeah, exactly. I consider all trans surgeries to be reconstructive, which has basically been the benchmark of all my negotiating with work.
