In the Origin he’s from “Rosarita”, which may be referring to Rosarito which is a real place in Baja…he’s supposed to be “North American” so he can really be anything…In the series, Amuro is from Japan. In the movies, he is from Prince Rupert Island, British Columbia.
since majority rules and the TV series usually gets retconned anyway (lookin’ at you, G-Fighter), I think “North American” is the best one to go with.
