gaijinder:

Ladies and Gentlemen of our humble fandom: I present to you an interesting offer. Well if you’re anywhere in the Midwest.

On Friday, January 24th, I’ll be running auditions for my senior thesis project: A pilot for a webseries I intend to produce after graduation. Why should you care? Aside from it being a superhero action series with dashes of Cyberpunk elements like mega-corporations and the like, but mostly for the core purpose of the series: Proving that you can do a superhero project with a woman in the lead that will appeal to everyone. Because let’s be honest, there is no good excuse why it’s taken this long to make a Wonder Woman movie.

But the piece du resistance (and this is where you Japanese Superhero fans come in)? The initial brainstorming of this project was “The Kamen Rider Show That Would Never Exist” as a.) There’s a woman who can b.)  transform into a heroine that c.) doesn’t die or get put on a bus. I’m taking tropes from the more modern shows and turning them on their head. (tl;dr No I’m not doing Madoka With Henshin Belts. Insert Gaim Criticisms Here.) Building off of that, my team and I have something awesome in the works. But we’re going to need someone to play our leading lady if we’re to have any hope of this getting of the ground. Well, her and a few other roles that need to be filled. That’s where you come in.

If you’re in Milwaukee around Jan 24th and you’d seriously be interested, check out this Google Doc here for more info and RSVP as soon as possible since spots are being snatched up by the plenty. We’ll be holding a second round in Chicago (details forthcoming) so stay tuned for that. Otherwise, spread this around and stand by for action!

Signal boosting this for a friend! I’d totally audition myself if I lived closer.
