If you follow me and you’re not into Gundam, well

that’s your own damn fault, WATCH SOME GODDAMN GUNDAM seriously it’s good

and by that I mean the good shit! Watch Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) or its movies (1981-1982), Zeta Gundam (1985), Gundam ZZ (1986) and Char’s Counterattack (1988)! Then, move onto the other stuff like Gundam 0080 (1989), Victory Gundam (1993), Gundam X (1996)! After that you can truly appreciate the fun stuff like Turn A Gundam (1999), G-Gundam (1994) Gundam Build Fighters (2013), and Gundam Unicorn (2010-present)!

forget about your Toonami nostalgia like Gundam SEED, 08th MS Team, and Gundam Wing! Join the big game stuff!

I don’t know why I’m ranting like this I JUST WANT MORE PEOPLE TO GET INTO CLASSIC GUNDAM! I put the dates in parenthesis so you KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR.

GO OUT THERE AND WATCH GUNDAM, GUNDAMNIT!!!

NO. NO. I am a HUGE fan of Gundam and HOW DARE you call 08th MS Team just “Toonami Nostalgia” and not worthy of being with what you call the “big game stuff.” 08th MS Team was the Gundam which moved me to tears more often than not. I’ve watched a ton of Gundam and 08th MS Team still stands as my favorite series in the bunch. Even my friends who are more into Gundam than I am acknowledge that 08th MS Team is one of the finest shows in Gundam’s run. I wasn’t a fan of SEED or Wing so much, I like G a lot more. However, as someone who never had cable as a kid, I didn’t get Toonami. I hunted down video, asked friends to show me new shows, and yes, even downloaded episodes. My friends were my biggest influence, and they got into Gundam through Toonami, but have since watched every Gundam show they could get their hands on (so, now it’s basically every Gundam show ever). They told me about Wing and 08th MS Team, and I watched both, loving the personal, tragic, and real nature of 08th MS Team over the more flashy, action style of Wing. To put down those shows which made people like me watch more Gundam, you are just a whiny, self-inflated jerk who wants to be “cool” because you call the stuff that made people want to dive deeper into the series “toonami nostalgia” like it’s a terrible, awful stain on Gundam’s legacy, when in fact they are well produced, well written shows with great charcters. UGH. “big game” stuff. More like “WAAAAH People don’t like the same Gundam I do, so that makes me better than them.”

Get a life.
