lately ive seen sophia banks giving "reminders" that trans men and non-binary people also experience transphobia, and i feel like she's implying that trans women need to be more inclusive towards those groups. now, i cant say that my experiences are universal, but i havent seen a single trans woman argue that those groups dont experience transphobia. it feels like shes putting the onus for inclusivity on trans women, who are traditionally excluded even in spaces which include those other groups

i reject the line that transmisogyny is the intersection of transphobia and misogyny and it is my view that transphobia as a general category is wholly derivative from transmisogyny (and thus, ultimately misogyny)

many cis people when they first begin to “unpack their transphobia” tend to do so more or less exclusively upon interacting with FAAB trans people.

they realize that hiliary swank with a short haircut using “he” pronouns doesnt make them as uncomfortable as trans women do and because of this they feel they have confronted transphobic stereotypes (such as the one that trans women exist and are real)

it is my view that gender is a system which extracts value from the labor of bodies and that people who are structurally positioned as men within that system are not subject to gendered oppression- that men experiencing negative social effects of gender are experiencing side effects of misogyny, oppression against women, misdirected at them.

a good example of this is how one of the forms of transphobia that trans men and boys experience is having their transness represented as being “a teenage girl seeking attention/validation”. another form of transphobia that trans men and boys experience is their being sexually harassed or assaulted for being perceived as lesbians. these are clear examples of misogyny being misdirected at men

trans men experience transphobia as fleeting and momentary lapses, because of how their transness can cause society to gender them in a fluid way, in their ability to extract value from the labor of women.

trans women experience transphobia as their normal exploitation as women being interrupted by occasional bouts of extreme violence- establishing them as an economic subclass of women who are used, through their devalued position relative to cis women, as a price control mechanism on gendered labor which allows men, as a sex class, to extract superprofits.

a correct materialist trans feminist praxis must be trans woman centric
