Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about gender equality and transgender. Being true to yourself as you are is the most important thing, and also the most difficult thing. If you can find just one person who understands you, that’s something precious.

Sorry for any possible mistakes.  It should be noted that the “being true to yourself as you are” part could also be read as “being true to myself as I am,” etc.  Also, the “gender equality” part is “gender free” in katakana, which is described on Japanese wikipedia as the idea of living free of society’s gender roles and expectations, so kind of different from our idea of “gender equality.”

Her replies are currently full of people being like “hey, I’m trans, and I was really moved by this, thank you for being concerned about us” and that sort of thing.  Sayaka’s dedication to acknowledging and speaking out in support of marginalized groups is unwavering and so consistent but it will never not fill me with so much love and admiration for her that my heart can barely contain it. — pup
