ok but if ur gonna boycott frozen boycott every other disney movie too because disneys been pulling the same shit for over 50 years and nobody had a problem with it until now

“What bugs me about the rabblerabble regarding Frozen and, well, so much other shit and representation is it totally missed the point. The issue isn’t that movies about Norway or Scandinavia or whatever feature nothing but what people. That’s, well, kinda logical. The issue is they’re all that’s being made! There need to be more stories about fairytales or characters from places that don’t have white people! And usually for that you need more writers and content creators who are actually, y'know, diverse.
tl;dr, you want representation, well, the problem lies in writers being all straight white cis men, not that stories don’t feature them.
Complaining about lack of representation in Frozen is about as silly as complaining about lack of representation in fucking Kamen Rider.
It’s less that the people are BAD, it’s more that the "club” needs to allow more people in it.
It’s all a matter of picking your battles. I’ve been rewatching That 70’s Show lately, which takes place in Point Place, Wisconsin. We’re talking midwestern farmlands here. It’s gonna be pretty damn white, and they even make a comment about it being like nothing but white people out there. So in that case it’s excusable.
BUT THEN THERE’S FRIENDS, which takes place in NEW YORK CITY. There is literally no excuse for a black main character there, or just. one who isn’t white in general.
