What a lot of people don’t get is that most people in oppressed groups (fill in the blank for which one) don’t actually hate those people in the groups that oppress them, but it actively or passively.

What they DO hate is the fact that those things (being white, straight, cis, able-bodied, male, etc) are all considered normal. Because all of that is believed to be the normalcy, it makes it harder for those of us that are “abnormal” in one way or another.

So when someone makes a crack about you being “white boy” or whatever, they’re basically saying “you don’t understand what it’s like in my position, because you’ll never BE in their position”.

Don’t cry “misandry” or “cisphobia” or “reverse-racism”. Just deal with it, because you don’t know what oppression actually is. And no, oppression doesn’t work both ways.

….this is kind of incomprehensible and I’m sorry.
