I seldom regret toy purchases.
but then, there’s this: Masterpiece Voltron.
I bought him six years ago at AnimeBoston cuz I wanted a big metal robot for my collection. I figured, hey, why not Voltron. I was ecstatic to own the big lug, and pretty much right when I settled at home, I took him out of the package
and the sword immediately snapped at the hilt. I managed to fix it, as you can see, but it turns out some of the lions’ legs have started to crack, too, so I tend to keep them combined.
Oh, did I mention that at the time I bought this, all I’d seen of Voltron were a handful of episodes of the terrible CGI series from the 90’s?
But meh, now that I’m watching Golion he feels more at home in my collection. It’d be kinda silly to get rid of a toy from a series I’ve actually seen at this point!

darth-stineho liked this I believe the 25th Anniversary version has no diecast, and is usually considered to be the better of the two.
I have the 25th Anniversary edition, which I believe is pretty much exactly the same as this with some subtle paintjob...
