I loved the first season. Nice, fresh mecha designs that were CERTAINLY needed after SEED’s “five-years-too-late” designs, and a good enough story with a pretty cool cast (Setsuna was basically Heero done right). The second season was a goddamn mess because they completely forgot how to write the characters, and even the mecha designs felt like a step backwards. The series had so much potential, that just got squandered. I haven’t seen the movie yet buuut I hear I’m better off.
