For Christmas my parents got my Call of Duty MW3 because they couldn’t find Halo Reach (and they claim to know me).

Anyway, I left the thing unopened since then, and I just picked it up to play last night out of boredom.

all I have to say is,

“eh”.

Like it’s not bad. For what it is, it’s pretty decent. It just falls into the trap of so many modern video games: all style, no substance. I just hate games with the “all-powerful action button”; the one that can do anything from plant a bomb to kick a door open. It’s fine if that button allows you to use a ladder, flip a switch, enter a vehicle, etc, but that’s all stuff you’ll do more than once. Having a button that does everything except shoot, jump, or crouch… kinda takes the “play” out of “gameplay”.
