RSSHello, Sophia! It's Ryan. I understand where you're coming from, and I've noticed it too. I think tumblr also seems to focus on us transmen more is cause a lot of us just seem to go for the "cute twink" look, which makes it seem like a trend. Not sure how to explain it.. OTL
Still, it’s somewhat problematic. It seems as though trans men are the one group on tumblr that is blissfully unaware of their privilege, and I hate using the P word. Of course, trans women aren’t doing much better with it either, (considering we just got a blog made specifically for helping trans women passing) but I feel as though that was mostly part of socialization. When trans women were growing up, they were told to not express their feelings, whereas trans men were taught the opposite. So I think trans men have a bit more working in their favor.
