Now, if you may remember, I successfully raised money to pay for my surgery deposit back in April, and the flight to my consultation back in October. Well… situations have changed.
My surgery date has been moved to sooner than expected. Now, it’s scheduled for February 10th, 2016. Sounds awesome, right? Well…. not really. Now I need to rush the process of getting my letters… letters that cost $150 a piece. In addition to that, I need to book at least one double-session with my second therapist, which would NOT be covered by my insurance, requiring another $150. On top of that, with the date now being sooner, I have less time to get the flights paid for.Oh, and as the saying goes, “It never rains but it pours”? While telling the boss at my current temp job that I need to come in late on Monday because I need to drag my butt out 90 minutes for an appointment with the aforementioned therapist, she informs me that my period for the job ended this past FRIDAY. With the holidays a week away and the limited chance of me getting a full-time job before my surgery, I need all the help I can get. Breaking down the cost is as follows:
$450–Each $150 charge such as the surgery letters and the double-booked appointment.
~$400 Plane tickets. Can’t tell how much they’ll be until I go to buy them, hence the estimate.
Last $150 will go into plane tickets if they end up costing more than estimated and dealing with GFM’s fees.I REALLY wish I didn’t have to do this again but my luck is absolutely awful. Please, anything you can give to help would make just the biggest difference. I’m under a LOT of stress right now from having this all dumped in my lap over the past few days, so anything helps.
