maybe not now, but he used to appeard on the tv series Mighty Morphin Power Ranger as the red ranger. Recently he was sentenced to death for the murder of a couple in 2004,  Thomas and Jackie Hawks.

Gene Roddenberry was… pretty goddamn atheist. The people of Star Trek are supposed to be an advanced human race who moved on from things like poverty, internalized war, and of course, religion. Once mankind learned “holy shit we’re not alone in the universe” they kinda grew up in all senses of the word. That’s not to say that some religious practices still aren’t held, they just certainly aren’t traditional.
